Adult Confidence Course - Kara
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoMany thanks to Brian who was an excellent tutor, both for my teen and for me. I think Robert is now much more assured and I’m confident in his abilities. Brian was also really good at supporting me in overcoming my own ridiculous inability to do u-turns.

Child Learn to ride
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoI wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible job you did in teaching my child how to ride a bike. It’s a milestone we’ve been eagerly anticipating, and your expertise and patience made it a truly memorable experience.
Here are a few points of feedback I wanted to share:
Expertise: Your knowledge of cycling and your ability to convey it to a child is truly impressive. You made what seemed like a daunting task into an achievable one.

Expertise: Your knowledge of cycling and your ability to convey it to a child is truly impressive. You made what seemed like a daunting task into an achievable one.
Patience: My child can be a bit apprehensive at times, but your calm and patient demeanor helped them feel at ease throughout the process. Your encouragement and support were invaluable.
Fun and Engaging: Learning to ride a bike can be challenging, but you managed to make it fun.
Safety: I appreciated how you emphasized safety at all times. Your attention to detail in teaching them about helmet use, etc
Communication: Your clear and effective communication with both my child and me was fantastic. You kept us informed about their progress and what to work on after the lesson.
Overall, you exceeded our expectations as a cycling instructor. My child’s newfound confidence on a bike is a testament to your skill and dedication. We can’t thank you enough for this wonderful experience.
We look forward to continuing with more cycling adventures, and we’ll certainly recommend your classes to friends and family. Keep up the fantastic work.

Child Learn to ride
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoI attended the cycling course with my daughter earlier today.
I just wanted to thank-you so much for such an amazing opportunity.
She is my third child and after teaching the other two to ride I've been really struggling to get her going much to her frustration.
Lisa and Gavin were so knowledgable and have given her such confidence to try a new approach. I've been filled with useful tips so although she didn't come away riding she is certainly on her way.
I am very grateful to the both of them and to the service being provided for free.

At the moment while times are very difficult it was such a privilege to be able to attend such a service.
Thank you once again

Child Holiday Learn to Ride
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoMy son attended the holiday learn to ride at Tyrrells school today. I was so impressed with the session- great value for money, great instructor: child ratios, really lovely and engaged instructors. My son was a bit nervous beforehand, but the instructors managed to get him relaxed very quickly. He was cycling by himself within 30 mins!
I'll be recommending you and we will definitely will be back for the more advanced sessions in the future.

Adult Confidence Course - Andy
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoI just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the whole Essex County Council Cycle Team, especially Jo and Natalia who were my amazing instructors today. Not only did today help me with the confidence I needed to get back on the road (I will be bike shopping this evening!), the team catered for each member of our group in an incredibly supportive way and this helped created a really fun and enjoyable experience for us all. So much love to your team, you’re all awesome

Child Learn to Ride Course - Lisa
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoJust wanted to say a massive thank you to the two ladies who taught my daughter Evie to ride her bike last Thursday morning at Broomfield village Hall, especially to Lisa.
Evie is now proudly riding everywhere she can and I truly believe this is because of them.
Honestly I'm beyond thankful

Adult Confidence Course - Sylvia
by charlotte.brooks, over 1 year agoI have been riding my bike for years, something I enjoy doing to keep fit, get around locally and a perfect opportunity to catch up with friends. Chelmsford is a great place to cycle with lots of cycling infrastructure to move around and across town and only minutes from the open B roads taking you into the countryside through out local villages.
Apart form cycle training at schools, too many years ago to think about, I’ve not had any formal training. With a new job I really felt it was a good time to brush up on my cycling skills... Continue reading
I have been riding my bike for years, something I enjoy doing to keep fit, get around locally and a perfect opportunity to catch up with friends. Chelmsford is a great place to cycle with lots of cycling infrastructure to move around and across town and only minutes from the open B roads taking you into the countryside through out local villages.
Apart form cycle training at schools, too many years ago to think about, I’ve not had any formal training. With a new job I really felt it was a good time to brush up on my cycling skills and get a bit more confidence on some of the busier roads through the town centre. I was introduced to the Essex County Council cycle training through a colleague and quickly and easily signed up on the website. My instructor called me and we spent quite a bit of time talking through my skill level, what I wanted to get from the training and where I would normally be cycling. The date was set and I eagerly waited for the Saturday to come, wasn’t quite predicting pouring rain but I guess learning in the worst conditions possible might have been the best thing.
Mary took me through the basics, making sure I understood positioning on the road, hand signals and control of the bike. Then we hit the open roads. I never realised how much cycling infrastructure there was around Chelmsford and actually how to use it effectively. I felt empowered to know how much I controlled my space on the road and how where I positioned myself told the other road users around me of my intentions. I found myself being much more aware of the road layout and other road users as I cycled along and amazed that having that bit of knowledge made me much more confident. Three hours well spent, I would recommend this to anyone who cycles regularly.
