Electric Vehicle Team

The number of electric vehicles (EVs) is growing and is likely to become more of a focus over the next few years with the plan to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by the end of 2035. Most EV charging happens at home – typically off-street in garages and driveways. However, in some parts of the UK many people can’t charge at home so Essex County Council have announced that they will be rolling-out the county’s first onstreet chargepoint scheme for residents to use. Around seventy new charging stations will be installed initially in thirty locations including Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Braintree, Harlow, and Epping.
