Broome Grove Wivenhoe

Broome Grove Primary School

After engaging with the community in 2023, co-designed measures were implemented in spring/summer 2026 to enhance safety for children, families, and people travelling to and from Broome Grove Schools.

What improvements were introduced?

  • Red route parking restrictions outside the school operating at school pick-up and drop-off and all the time at junctions, helping to reduce congestion and improve visibility.
  • Carriageway resurfacing
  • Build-outs to improve ease of crossing for people walking
  • New ‘Child Crossing’ road markings to increase driver awareness near key walking routes.
  • Increased presence of Enforcement Officers

Thank you for your continued support in helping us deliver safer, healthier environments around our schools.
