Essex wide walking and cycling

In order to finalise the cycling and walking network plans, we held a public consultation with Essex residents, businesses and stakeholders in late 2024/early 2025. We wanted to understand if the draft network plans we were proposing accurately reflected the journeys that residents and businesses are most likely to undertake on foot, by bike or wheeling. We also wanted to get a better understanding about people's attitudes when it comes to rural walking and cycling in Essex, as well as their barriers and what opportunities would help overcome them.
