Update as of 20/07/2026:

Planned safety improvements have been made along Bowes Road, and is scheduled to take place Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd July.

Planned improvements include:

  • Foliage removal
  • Resetting drain covers and kerb
  • Concrete patch repairs to carriageway
  • Installing additional pedestrian guard rails

To ensure the works are carried out safely, road closure will take place between 7:00pm - 5:00am each night of the works. During these hours, residents will be able to access their properties via the signed diversion route.

These measures are designed to enhance safety for children, families, and people travelling to and from Millfields Primary School.
