The works are due to complete next week but the zebra crossing will be operational for school use when they are back from Easter break.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us deliver safer, healthier environments around our schools.
Safer crossings, improved pavement quality, and improved enforcement were identified during engagement with the local community. Works are now underway to introduce the following:
Zebra crossing
Red route restrictions:
Double red lines: No stopping or dropping off at any time.
Single red line: No stopping or dropping off between 8:15–9:15am and 2:45–3:45pm.
Child crossing markings
Whilst we have made a good start to delivering the improvement works, due to poor weather conditions on several days during February half term week and an unforeseen product supply issue, we have not been able to complete all elements of the scheme within the original programme. These final works will take place during the Easter holiday during off‑peak hours only. Appropriate traffic management will be in place to minimise disruption and ensure safe spaces for you whilst we work.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the community’s patience while we complete these essential improvements.
